Souzou Design Co., Ltd.

We are a software manufacturer that facilitates skill transfer in the manufacturing sector.

We develop and sell software. Our line of business is built around 3 major products: skill transfer software for the manufacturing sector; remote real-time skill transfer software; and full-HD image transfer and remote control systems. Our skill transfer software consists of video manuals that are produced in one-seventh the time of previous products. Our remote real-time skill transfer software allows the user to converse during troubleshooting, and share live footage and drawings via the Internet, without actually taking a trip. Our full-HD image transfer and remote control system enables remote control while transferring full-HD images without delay. Examples of its use include managing manufacturing equipment in remote cleanrooms, and providing remote medical services.

[Company strength]
Our current president is a native of Korea, and started this company after having worked for Japanese home appliance and other prototype manufacturers. The president’s deep understanding of industries in Japan and Korea made it possible for us to fuse the latest Korean IT technologies with detailed Japanese Monozukuri craftsmanship know-how. This brought about our customer-oriented solutions business. We upgrade products based on customer opinions and requests to make them easier to use in the actual workplace.

[Business description]
Our company develops and sells packaged software mainly for technical guidance in the manufacturing sector. Our software is sold both directly and indirectly through agents.

Software development and sales

[Strength of products/technologies]
Our main offerings are as follows.
(1) Skill transfer software: We can make video work procedure manuals quickly and easily, within one-seventh of the time spent on conventional products, and establish links with existing procedural documents. The contents are organized as if they had been put on a bookshelf.
(2) Remote real-time technical guidance software: Our software allows the user to converse and give instructions when trouble occurs in a remote place, without actually travelling there. This is done by sharing live footage, drawings, documents and handwriting on a moving image via the Internet. (With a line running at l Mbps; CPU load during remote PC control is less than 20%.)
(3) Full-HD transfer (with a line capable of 6 Mbps) and remote control system: Our system can be used for providing remote medical services, or for managing manufacturing equipment in a remote cleanroom.

[Representative's message]
In the past few years we have participated in exhibitions in Japan 6 times a year to expand our sales network. After participating in an exhibition in fast-growing Indonesia last year, we were able to find potential Japanese and local customers as well as sales partners. We will continue to follow up these connections to gradually gain a foothold in other countries for overseas expansion.

[Company structure for market development/overseas expansion]
We created many Q&A documents and instruction videos for our own staff so that anyone can respond to customer inquiries. These videos are distributed via the Internet, and staff can notify each customer of the necessary URL by e-mail. We have many explanatory videos for customers in distant places, and we can perform remote demonstrations at any time.

[Market share/Ranking]
We have not ascertained the specific figures for this niche market, but we assume that the market scale is around 150 to 200 billion yen. This is due to the potential demand caused by the mass retirement of Japanese baby boomers. Recognition of our products has been improving since we have participated in various exhibitions.
