[Product description] Glass has excellent characteristics that are not available from other materials. Glass is very transparent, has little thermal extension, is impassible to electricity, water or air, and is highly resistant to chemicals. We can make use of these characteristics to develop new technologies. We manufactured a glass product (shown here) for visual evaluation to meet a desire to view the engine interior at the development stage. We succeeded in making it possible to visualize combustion in automobile engines.
[Product description] We proceeded with technological development for ultra-high-precision polishing of the inner and outer sides of glass rollers and achieved these results. This was done under the New Product and Technology Development Support Project subsidized by Ota Ward. We noted that synthetic quartz is a new material that allows ultraviolet ray transmission. We tackled the development of ultra-high-accuracy (Å level) polishing technology to raise the surface roughness accuracy to 100 times the metal surface roughness or more. We also improved our peripheral polishing machine. We were able to establish an ultra-high-accuracy polishing technology capable of raising the surface roughness of a synthetic quartz pipe to 6 Å (Ra).

The technique to manufacture and transform competent cell plays important role in modern genetic engineering. Yeastern Biotech had developed a high effcient transformation technique, saving 90% reaction time compared to traditional techniques of chemical and electric chock. This new methhod shorters the transformation time from 2 hours to 1 minute. In sddition, no SOC and LB recovery steps were needed. The reulting competed cells could be re-effciency. This product is protected by patents in Taiwan.
It is developed from a zero-valve, single cylinder, and double acting positive-displacement pupm. The easy-operated spray-gun structure is designed by the in-house R&D, to coordinate the upper valve and the switch so that excess water will not drip from the nozzle, even during storage. Attached in a complete set are more than two different kinds of nozzles for various purpoeses are inclued. In addition, there are multiple selections of materials according to the contens of spray, from general liquid to corrosive liquid.
