We manufacture optical and electronic equipment parts by processing many kinds of glass materials and supply them to laboratories and manufacturing divisions in various fields.     • Glass products for visual evaluation

      Glass products for visual evaluation

      [Product description] Glass has excellent characteristics that are not available from other materials. Glass is very transparent, has little thermal extension, is impassible to electricity, water or air, and is highly resistant to chemicals. We can make use of these characteristics to develop new technologies. We manufactured a glass product (shown here) for visual evaluation to meet a desire to view the engine interior at the development stage. We succeeded in making it possible to visualize combustion in automobile engines.

    • Ultra-high-precision polishing technology

      Ultra-high-precision polishing technology

      [Product description] We proceeded with technological development for ultra-high-precision polishing of the inner and outer sides of glass rollers and achieved these results. This was done under the New Product and Technology Development Support Project subsidized by Ota Ward. We noted that synthetic quartz is a new material that allows ultraviolet ray transmission. We tackled the development of ultra-high-accuracy (Å level) polishing technology to raise the surface roughness accuracy to 100 times the metal surface roughness or more. We also improved our peripheral polishing machine. We were able to establish an ultra-high-accuracy polishing technology capable of raising the surface roughness of a synthetic quartz pipe to 6 Å (Ra).

    Processing and also measuring technologies are indispensable to achieving processing accuracy high enough for ultra-high-precision glass parts. Quality cannot be assured without equivalent measuring technology, no matter how high the processing accuracy may be. Our company does not spare investment on precision measuring equipment. We provide reliability based on quality assurance as an additional value or attraction to researchers and other parties developing cutting-edge technologies. Our processing accuracy is as high as ±1 μm outside diameter tolerance, ±1 μm board thickness tolerance, λ/20 flatness, 3 Å surface roughness, and one second in parallelism and perpendicularity.
