We also have production knowhow that far surpasses our competitors. This stems in part from our past association with major global lamp manufacturers - Sylvania in the United States and Philips in the Netherlands - over a period of 43 years. 2. Lamps for medical equipment and semiconductor devices, in particular, require a high degree of reliability and precision, in terms of product life and positioning of the emission source, respectively. We have developed our own proprietary technologies to fulfill such requirements. [Representative's message] Our company spun off from Philips in 2006. And we are currently in the midst of developing aviation (airport) lighting, entertainment lighting and discharge lamps for industrial equipment on a global scale [Company structure for market development/overseas expansion] Our company has an export sales division with a staff of three, headed by the general manager. We employ a contract advisor in Europe, as well as two agencies each in the United States, China and the Republic of Korea. We are currently planning to establish an agency within the ASEAN region to strengthen our overseas rollout organization. And we have already established a manufacturing subsidiary in Vietnam and are boosting our price competitiveness and supply organization in the growing Asian market. [Market share/Ranking] We hold an estimated domestic market share of 70% in light sources for biochemical analytical (hemanalysis) devices and aim to hold a substantial share in international markets as well.
