Fatigue Science Laboratory Inc.
We support health development and objectively evaluate fatigue and stress levels.
We conduct R&D related to health evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment method. Our area of expertise is providing guidance on the evaluation and analysis of data obtained from equipment as a supplement to the development of equipment for digitizing and quantifying fatigue and stress. We also provide guidance on the evaluation software that gives advice to subjects and gives instructions at the front line. In 2005, we developed a technology for quantifying and digitizing fatigue and stress, with the financial support and cooperation of the Clinical Center for Fatigue Science, Faculty of Medicine, Osaka City University. In 2012, we developed a device that measures the activity of the autonomic nervous system, with the cooperation of Murata Corp. and Hitachi Systems. The next generation of this device is now being developed.

In 2012, with the cooperation of Murata Corp. and Hitachi Systems, we developed a device for measuring the activity of the autonomic nervous system (VM302). The sensor in this device is designed to simultaneously obtain the pulse waves and electrocardiographic waveform to examine heartbeat fluctuation, thereby greatly improving measuring precision. Currently, we are developing the next generation of devices, VM400 and VM500, using this technology. [Representative's message] We intend to expand our sales channels as swiftly as possible, particularly for newly developed products. Preparations are underway for an internal system for sales expansion in Japan for the VM400 and VM500, the next generation of devices. [Market share/Ranking] Ours is the only device in the Japanese market that measures the activity of the autonomic nervous system using the characteristics of VM302. Effective December 2015, revisions to the Industrial Health and Safety Act oblige companies to offer stress checks to their employees, as promoted by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare. Considering this move, we have received an increasing number of inquiries from industrial doctors and general affairs sections of companies.
